The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager is responsible for the overall direction and the effective coordination and function of the Operations and Maintenance Departments' activities, including mechanical maintenance, electrical and I&C Departments.
The O&M Manager assures that work is properly planned, coordinated, budgeted, engineered, and executed in a cost effective, timely, safe and environmentally acceptable manner.
Reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:
Ensure plant is satisfying market demands and coordinate activities with NRG's marketing department to maximize market opportunities.
Ensure compliance with Company environmental and safety policies as well as Federal, State and Local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Set operational and maintenance prioritiesPrepares and monitors annual Operations and Maintenance Department expense and capital budgets and provides this information to the budget team.
Optimize financial impacts of scheduling unit/equipment outages and disseminates this information to the other leadership teams for day/week-ahead work activities.
Promotes practices, processes and procedures that assure plant assets are operated and maintained which results in optimum generating availability, heat rate, production cost, safety, and environmental compliance.
Facilitates teamwork among plant departments and employees to achieve performance goals.
Ability to serve as facility manager in the absence of the Plant Manager.
Ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Demonstrated experience in dealing with human resources, general administration, and policy implementation issues.
Maintain a proficient and productive work force through performance management, training and employee development.
Provides for outage coordination and scheduling dates for outage completion with the Trading and Marketing function.
Ability to serve as Outage Manager, coordinating planned and maintenance outage activities.
Participates in both routine and outage maintenance work planning and scheduling.
Monitors employee performance against plans, ensures compliance, and affirms priorities.
Provides verification that work performed adequately addresses deficient conditions.
Ensures accurate and detailed notifications/work requests for tasks to be performed using SAP.
Ensures that the equipment is operated in accordance with established safety standards, operating procedures, and prudent industry practices.
Oversees monitoring and trending of equipment performance and statusSupports the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
Assists in the development and implementation of operating procedures.
Participates in root cause analyses.
Directs unit and equipment unavailability reporting.
Supervises the preparation of equipment for maintenance activities including writing work requests, issuing clearances, configuring equipment alignment, and supporting work activities.
Provides direction and oversight of the Lock-out/Tag-out and Confined Space Entry Programs.
Qualified Candidates must have knowledge and experience with the following:
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred and/or a minimum of five (5) years relevant power plant-related technical experience ORa HS diploma or equivalent and 10 years' experience relevant power plant-related technical experienceOR an Associates degree and 8 years of relevant power plant related technical experiencePrevious experience in a leadership position, specifically supervising employees.
Technical knowledge of generation plant equipment and operational/maintenance procedures.
Basic understanding of O&M and capital budgeting.
Working knowledge of safety, environmental and labor laws and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Computer literate with proficient use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Ability to identify root causes of issues and make sound business decisions.
Oriented towards working in a competitive environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
