Budget Analyst

As a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-13, you would be responsible for the following duties:
Responsible for Agency-wide planning, formulating, justifying and executing complex, multi-year budgets for critical national defense projects/programs and objectives Responsible for the financial management (planning, programming, budget formulation and execution) for a Multi Million Dollar budget which is distributed into smaller, individualized, budgets throughout the United States Provides mastery advice on all phases of budgeting to other budget analysts, program managers, other senior management officials and Headquarters Interfaces with Liaison Office and Defense Finance Account Service (DFAS) support personnel to HQ DCMA and that anticipated reimbursements are earned Monitors monthly obligations, expenditures, and multi-work year limitations for assigned accounts Analyzes requests from reporting activities to determine adequacy to support approved programs, projects, and conformance with budgetary guidelines Leads the assigned team in:
Identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following
Qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service, Planning, formulating, justifying and executing complex, multi-year budgets for critical national defense projects/programs and objectives Analyzing costs, benefits, and trends in rates of obligation and expenditure of funds and/or recommends ways to improve the utilization of funds Establishes work methods and procedures that will ensure the preparation of all budget execution actions Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
