MANAGER OF PRODUCT ENGINEERING

Divisional manufacturing plant of a global company, needs experience in designing/developing product and leading/mentoring engineering and machining teams.
DUTIES:
Will direct product design/development team from concept through production.
Take customer specifications and prepare product designs for launch projects.
Implement advanced product design systems to improve quality and launch targets.
Coordinate machine shop activity to interface smoothly with product design projects.
Develop a pro-active engineering team who can develop the highest quality products on time to exceed customer expectations. 7-9 direct reports in 3 plants.
Hands-on coordination with all areas of manufacturing.
MUSTS:
4 year Engineering degree
10-12 years in automotive, off-highway or transportation industry experience.
Experience designing/developing mechanical and hydraulic components and systems.
Experience with advanced design engineering technologies for product launches.
Experience with CNC machining methods.
Experience with brake, transmission and engine components for automotive and off highway vehicles.
Hands-on engineering management experience.
